VoiceWeekly June14. Tayza from Htoo Trading, Zaw Zaw from Max Myanmar, Nay Aung from IGE, Chit Khine from Eden Group are given greenlight to start private banks according to the spokesman Major Tun Thein of Central Bank, Ministry of Finance and Revenue.
The bank of Zaw Zaw of Max Myanmar supposedly named Ayerwaddy Bank whereas Tayza named his bank Asia Green Bank or Asia Green Development Bank – AGD. Eden Group bank is Myanma ShaeSaung, IGE – Amara Bank.
The new banks are in desparate need of staff and the former Asia Wealth Bank (which license revoked due to money laundering case) staff are in hot list.
Asia Green Bank reportedly purchased Banking System from ACE data system, according to Zaw Moe Thant from ACE Data Systems.
No bank announce about their credit card plan which is very peculiar in the Banking Industry but in Myanmar “Credit Card” is a bad word bringing bad omen which brought down previous private banks.
